Free software and map update

This page contains details on how to update the iGO My way navigation software and how to use MapLoader, a new application for managing maps. Please read the whole page carefully before starting the update process.

General information

All iGO My way users are recommended to install the iGO My way update package to gain access to the latest software and map versions. Please consider that your access to the free updates depends on the type of the iGO My way product you have purchased.

Download and run the appropriate update package to quickly and easily discover if you are entitled to access any software or map updates. Updater and MapLoader are easy to use; all you have to do is follow the instructions displayed in the application.

Unlike Updater, the new MapLoader application does not download the update components (software, maps, etc.) from the Internet but includes them all in a self-contained package. You only need an Internet connection to authenticate your copy of the navigation software to be updated. Any HTTP proxy settings should be disabled during the download process.

Please consult the List of Supported Devices prior to launching the update, then follow the steps outlined in the Installation Guide.

Important! This update will update iGO My way products on SD memory cards for use with PDAs. Please do not attempt to run the update on any other device to avoid unrecoverable errors. Currently this update does not support updating other navigation software based on iGO My way (Acer, Airis, Altina, Asus, Blue Panther, DreimGO, DuinO, Evolio (S1200, A1700), MAG, Marbella, MioMap, MyGuide, Novogo Navigation 2006, GoNav PNA - Audiovox, Tibo, Typhoon, WayteQ Logic Gear etc).
